From April 19 to 23, 2010 the Bayerische Patentallianz GmbH teamed up with the Technische Universität München (TUM) at the Hanover Fair to exhibit two inventions from the fields of renewable energies and mechanical engineering.

Hannover Messe 2010

One of the two inventions was a "flexible tensioning device". This invention allows the automated adaptation and fixing of the tensioning device to different workpiece geometries and represents a machine-independent flexible tensioning system solution for the automation of sub-processes. The prototype could be seen on the A02 exhibition stand of the German Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology (BMWi) in Hall 2. The invention particularly attracted the interest of machine manufacturers and toll manufacturers, who visited the stand especially to see the invention.

The “shaft power plant” invention from the Cleantech sector uses an innovative DIVE turbine to generate power from waterways with a low flow rate and very low water level, for example. The concept was presented on exhibition stand C37 in Hall 2 with the “Run-of-River Power Technology Competence” network. Numerous interested parties took a look at the TUM’s inventions, among them turbine manufacturers, environmental institutions, owners of weirs and mills as well as environmental activists.
