On-site consultation at your university

The inventor-consultants at the various universities provide you as a scientist of the Bavarian universities and universities of applied sciences with comprehensive and competent advice on the disclosure of inventions. They answer your questions regarding the patentability of inventions, confidentiality of inventions, property rights procedure, inventor’s compensation as well as the subsequent marketing of your invention. The inventor-consultants work with you in drawing up the invention disclosure and thus initiate the process “from invention to exploitation”.
 

Evaluation of the invention

After the invention has been disclosed, we at the Bayerische Patentallianz subject the invention to a detailed evaluation at one central location - our Munich office. This involves the compilation of detailed market and technology analyses.

Proprietary protection

For innovative and commercially exploitable inventions we initiate the proprietary protection of your invention, e.g. by patenting. We collaborate here with renowned firms of patent attorneys and control the complete patenting process.

Marketing

We undertake the marketing of new or existing patents - in close collaboration with the owner of the property rights and the inventor. We have the necessary contacts to industry and business to identify the most suitable industrial partner for the particular invention. We market the inventions by transfer or licensing of the patents. We conduct the negotiations with the interested parties and negotiate lucrative conditions.

Monitoring

A contract is only a good contract if its implementation is monitored as well. This especially applies to complex processes such as the exploitation of your invention. Contacts and company strategies can change. Who will then champion your invention? We also make sure that all the terms are complied with, even after the contract has been concluded. We protect your interests by particularly taking care of two aspects: The timely payment of all monies due and the compliance with all contractual obligations.
