Edith joined BayPAT in 2009 and is IP Manager in the field of Life Sciences. She is involved in evaluating new inventions, prosecuting national and international patent cases and strategically managing patent portfolios.
Edith finished a Diploma in Chemistry at the University of Ulm, and in 1998 she received her PhD degree magna cum laude from the University of Ulm in the field of synthesis of new Schiff base complexes and their catalytic behaviour. Later, she worked at the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried in the field of amyloidosis, and as IP Manager in different companies, concerned with IP rights in biotechnology, biochemistry and medical technology. She was admitted to practice as a European Patent Attorney in 2010.
