Biography

Charlotte joined BayPat in 2019 as Licensing Manager in the field of life sciences. She is involved in the entire business development and licensing process to commercialize inventions.

Her scientific background lies in molecular biology and molecular medicine. In 2010, she completed her B.Sc in Biology at the Freie Universität Berlin and in 2011 gained a M.Sc. in Molecular Medicine from Imperial College London. Subsequently, she joined the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm as a research assistant to gain valuable work experience in scientific areas. During the 2 years, she worked on cancers arising from the sympathoadrenal lineage as well as in the field of type 1 diabetes. In 2014, Charlotte joined the group of Prof. Dr. Nina Henriette Uhlenhaut at the Helmholtz Zentrum München for her PhD studies. Here, she investigated the side-effects of long-term glucocorticoid treatment on liver metabolism and the role of the glucocorticoid receptor in hepatic gene regulation using Next Generation Sequencing. In 2019, she received her PhD degree from the Technical University in Munich.
